"Old World" Raspberry Bars: 2 1/4 c all p urpose flour
1 c sugar
1 c chopped pecans
1 c sweet butter
1 egg
10 oz raspberry preserves
Preheat oven to350 deg.
Grease 9 x 13 baking dish.
Combine all ingredients except raspberry preserves in mixer bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl often until mixture is crumbly (2 to 3 min.)
Reserve 1 1/2 c crumb mixture. Press remaining crumb mexture into greased baking dish. Spread prserves to within 1/2 inch from edge of unbaked crumb mixture. Crumble remaining crumb mixture over presrves. Bake near center of 350 oven for 42 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely and cut into bars.
